Running a small business is great, rewarding and a lot of hard work. I know, I run one here at Digital Deconstructed.
When I set up my business, I wanted to help. Around me I could see people running successful businesses who knew their industry inside and out. But when it came to digital, they weren’t so confident.
Do you find that when people find out you are running a business they want to give you advice? You should do social media. Do you create content? Have you got SEO on your website? These are all great questions, but when you don’t know what a good answer looks like, how do you work out what’s best for you and your business?
This is where I come in.
My small business knows about digital. I’m here to deconstruct your digital problems (see what I did there?!) and give you solutions that fit into your business plans, strategy and goals.
There’s no point in ‘doing’ social media, if you don’t know why you’re doing it, or where your best customers hang out online. Yes, SEO will get your website seen but is your website set up with your customers in mind for when they get there?
You don’t need to be an expert in every area of your business, but you should understand what is going on. You expect your accountant to be able to explain why they are recommending a certain course of action with your accounts. It’s the same with digital. I can explain solutions to you using plain English so you can make clear choices that work for your business.
Another aspect of running your own business is trust. Who do you trust to work alongside you to present your business online?
As an experienced freelancer and business owner I know what it takes to deliver a great project and service. It’s not just about the work that I do, of course that is good, it’s how I do it.
I work with my clients as part of their team, even if I’m their first team member. I want to know what makes your business tick. I want to know where you’ve come from and where you are going. It’s not just that I’m interested, which I am – I love a good business story, it helps me work better for you.
I work remotely, so communication is key to me. Wherever you are, you can rest assured that I’ll be sharing successes with you, as well as picking up any issues so that we can sort them out before they become problems.
So, let’s chat about what you want to do and where you want digital to take your business. You can email me here and we can take it from there by having a coffee, locally or virtually.
